welcome to the longest xanga post i've ever and hopefully will ever make in my life. i don't know whether to be relieved or grossed out. probably a mixture of both would be accurate.
i contemplated splitting this post into two parts after i hit day five but i was in too deep by then. if i was going to do it ... i might as well go ALL the way. like Big B said, facebook
can't tell the story like xanga can. but it's also hard to tell a
story when you have 993 pictures to choose from. brian, you better
appreciate this. *shakes fist* for everyone else you can find the rest
of 1/3rd of the 993 pictures that judy and i took on facebook.
for xanga stalkers. this is your LUCKY day. seriously is this not like hitting the xanga stalking jackpot!!!
for the most part, the ny crew consisted of me, judy, dan, alex.
aka: black feet :: no brows :: snoring beast :: sweating gargoyle.
typical morning= alarm going off.everyone yelling at dan for waking us up during the night bc of his snoring.girls taking a shower (or not).girls yelling at boys for cuddling.girls being nazi and telling the boys to take a shower (RIGHT NOW!).girls yelling at dan for having no volume control.EVER. girls yelling at boys for lagging.finally leaving the house.
one of the rare moments when alex actually has some of the blanket. barely.
dan's excuse? "alex, i told you to hold tight!"

we're probably waiting for dan to get out of the shower. al is probably playing "the most beautiful girl in the room" and referring to me... RIGHT ALEX?! well...i guess it depends on the room.

you may have heard about my itinerary. the rumors are false...don't believe the hype. ask paul :)
D A Y O N E:
Brunch at Normas: Le Parker Meridian (side note: NY food is whateVERS. LA-ers have it sooo good... we just don't even know)

MOMA: Museum of Modern Art
did the times square thing
did the hershey store/m&m store thing
took the ferry to Liberty Island to see...
the Statue of Liberty!!! YAY!!!!
"did you know that the statue was originally made of copper but turned green-blue due to chemical reactions?"
-alex choe the wannabe tour guide.
judy and i were so excited we decided to take a jumping picture in front of lady liberty. one attempt turned into seriously at least 20 bc stupid boys lied to us -_-. but it's okay bc it led to the birth of the "gargoyle". alex decided to join in on the jumping action but as we were jumping out of the corner of my eye i saw that his legs were all up near his face. i zoomed into the picture and my suspicions were confirmed....i mean...WHO JUMPS LIKE THAT!?!??!went to Wall Street.
went to Ground Zero. actually seeing the HUGE gap where the wt centers used to be was really sad.
Dinner: Katz Deli. (whatevs pt.2)judy decided to order a hamburger. she also said, "no tomatoes". little did we know that even if she had WANTED tomatoes, she wouldn't have gotten any. when the hamburger came out, judy's mouth literally fell open in shock.
we all went a little crazy...in a not so good way.headed over to dj sty's place. dennis+johnc+sty. (it's just easier to say it that way). despite lack of square feet and AC, for some reason, their place became the go-to laker game hangout place. but for the finals, sacrifices must be made! (felt weird watching the game from 9pm-12am)there are at least 5 other people not in this picture. probably stuck in a corner somewhere.
jk dennis...we're so grateful for your hospitality :)D A Y T H R E E:
reunion with the canadian cousin i haven't seen in at least ten years. madness!! so excited to see each other!

walked the Brooklyn Bridge. manhattan -->brooklyn
for some reason i loved the walk! super relaxing...
lunch: Grimaldi's Pizza. this place was pretty good.
next picture is also a good depiction of our stay at NY. every place that we went to that usually had hour long waits, we generally were first in line or hardly had to wait at all. lucky, lucky us :)
the lady who just came out is telling us that she had to wait 45 minutes for a table.
icecream at Brooklyn Icecream Factory. dan's face?

we then discovered this action. dunno why i get so excited over this but this is one of the coolest things i've done. you walk up to this big telescope looking this and at first this is what you see in the lens.

look closer and you see THIS! people in LONDON looking back and interacting with you!!! SO COOL.
(okay,i know, so it's pretty much a huge webcam. don't burst my bubble -_-) i jumped with them!
parted ways w/ nobrows, snoringbeast, and sweating gargoyle to have a LEE family reunion dinner. met w/ my other cousin i haven't seen in 10+ years and an "aunt" i've never met in my life. madnessx3. and wow no one looks alike.

passed the time at some random bar.

erin had just come back from london a few weeks ago and on her camera she had a picture of the big telescope thing on the london side!! SO CRAZYYY!!

D A Y F O U R:we let dennis be tour guide for the day
lunch: Shake Shack...not bad, not bad. yes, let it be known that dennis is watching out for diana and treated us girls out to shake shack (happy?)
D A Y F I V E (sunday): one of my favorite days.
Brooklyn Tabernacle: Jim Cymbala
straight up preached on four words from ephesians 6:17-"the helmet of salvation". let us fill our minds with things that are holy and of God so that Satan has no foothold even in our minds and thoughts. amen?
w/ Judy, Diana, Dennis and AK who arrived at 6am.
warning...AK has high energy in general. AK+two cups of coffee = out of control.

Brunch:tea at Alice's Teacup-Chapter ?

Jacob decided to join in on the fun. straight up LHCC reunion in progress.

Redeemer: Tim Keller

Dinner: the famous Halal Stand for some chicken and rice. 53rd and 6th.

everyone learned that even a little bit of the hot sauce means you have TOO much.

back to denn's to watch game 5. we won :)
D A Y S I X: i think it was around this time we decided to not waste anymore money on food in NY. just not worth it.
Rucker Park. i LOVE the people in Harlem. they're awesome :)

Guggenheim Museum = Guggen-suck. only one floor was open and it was lame-o.

hi AK :)

Jones New York to check out the cuzn in her environment.

cool no?

last Lee dinner reunion. probably one of the best places i ate in NY.

Empire State Building

AK: "Let's all do a gangster pose!"
Result: only girls look like mafia and everyone else... doesn't.
taking a picture of the picture asian style. don't hate.

D A Y S E V E N: OFF TO BOSTON!!!
the chinatown bus thing is SO worth it. it's $15 (or less) one way for a four hour drive and basically you can just take an AM bus, pass out, and then wake up in boston. let me show you.
bathroom/food break in Conneticut. i was sleeping or something
so for those who don't know, you follow this red-brick road aka Freedom Trail all around boston to historical monuments. following the red brick road. (wizard of oz-esque no?)
home of Paul Revere.

and i thought LA was bad.

LA fans need to learn some spirit from Bostonians. and that's ALL i'm going to say about that.

USS Constitution

Bunker Hill

NBA Finals Fever. i was seriously loving it... until later. and yeah.
Headed back to NY and had a LHCC reunion dinner in Ktowm minus Diana ( we missed you!!!!).
man lhccers are everywhere!

seven lhccers in tim's car. so crazy. thanks for driving kangye!

D A Y E I G H T:
i woke up early to try to get Conan tickets that they were passing out at 9am.
uh NO. pple were there since 5am

Central Park. seriously went on the best day. weather was soooo nice and not humid.

the reflection of the clouds in the water does it for me.

hulk donut.

guys played two pick-up games on 3v3 and won both. so proud of them :) we also played 2v2 football and cards. hahahahha
Turtle Pond.

okay seriously these next few pictures/videos are a good look at the dynamic of our group. this is a list of scenarios that will most likely be occuring at any given time.
1. dan being dan and us making fun of him.
2. dan doing anything and us making fun of him.
3. judy and dan fighting about something-ALL DAY.
4. dan saying/doing something and me giving him a dirty look.
5. dan going to alex for comfort. alex avoiding dan.
6. the girls catching the guys in compromising positions. me giving them a dirty look.
"look at these guys" (must say it in an alex choe voice)--also perfect example of #5 and#6.
bathroom break while the boys have fun w/ the camera. when i watch it again it's HILARIOUS.
video #1: dan decided on some narration. notice alex exiting the bathroom towards the end.
video #2: alex is cute. the camera gets shaky at the end bc i'm desperately trying to get into the shot but dan is being a punk isn't letting me. the cheering in the background is from the marathon mentioned a little later.
DAN: hurry, hurry. they're coming!
went to white castle. (ak's favorite joke)

Dinner: some more chicken and rice. and then headed back. out last night at 40 waterside.
when dan went to shower we decided to surprise him by being enchiladas. good times :)

D A Y N I N E:
Lunch: Some crazy burger place that i forget the name of. medium rare. YUM!

Metropolitan Museum of Art: this place is huge. we only saw like 1/2 of the entire museum i bet. too crazy. must go back.

SuperHeroes Exhibit was really well done!the had a lot of the actual costumes/outfits from movies. here's an illegal picture of the actual Iron Man outfit.

decided to go to prom. sorry stevenson, i decided to go with alex this time.

man sketching a sculpture. SO talented.
